As you
probably have read on the home page news, Gov. Corbett cannot prevent gas
drillers from drilling in the state owned forest. It seems that Anadarko
and Southwestern Energy own the mineral rights to state land. So our governor
can doing nothing about any gas drilling. Of course the Environmentalists could
care less about jobs or keeping America self-sufficient.
Why is it
that when companies want to offer jobs to the citizenry there will always be
somebody who wishes to prevent this? Is it because as long as "We the People"
are to ge owned by the government, that we must jump when they say so? Because
of our freedoms, is this not why others rush to the United States of
America?
I enjoy the
mountains and love animals. Moreover, I do fear what could happen to the
mountains and animals in the near future. However, when we are hungry, need
jobs, and have the resources that will allow us to be self-sufficient without
handouts from the Government ((taxpayers) then is this not what we should do? Of
course, there must be a watchful eye on such companies to keep our country
beautiful and to see that the people and the land remains unharmed. I believe
that there is enough legislation to do this with gas drilling companies as well
as others.
In addition,
if adults are not negligent in their jobs, on the land, in their homes, and to
each other, then we would be doomed.
Whoops, looks
like that is already happening; those who assume they have all the answers are dictating to us.
