The Choice is Ours

Are you dissatisfied with those that many of us put into office? Me too. How do we fix the mess we are in? By joining a group of like citizens, being sure to vote in the 2014 General Election, voicing our concerns such as I am doing here, and getting in touch with our representatives to let them know how we feel about the job they are or are not doing.

So many times I have been told that the vote does not count. I strongly disagree. How do you think President Obama was elected? Was it not by those who wished to receive tacpayer money without doing anything to earn it?

I will never complain about those who are in need of my help. However, I will put a stop to it if he or she is not willing to help themselves.

My fear is that soon we will losee all of our freedoms and the Constitution. We will be controlled and dictated  by those who paid us off, (free money, food, housing, and education), and now expect us to repay them by jumping when they say jump. And if we do not there is always the possiblility that we will be treated as Hitler treated the Germans, Castro treated the Cubans, China treating its people, etc, etc.

The choice is ours, the United States of America Citizens. We must not allow power mongers, dictators or anyone else walk on us as if we are their welcome mat. Is this what we want to leave to  todays babies?

Backbone or Courage

The below article was in response to a letter in my local newspaper, The Mansfield Gazette, Mansfield Pennsylvania.  I had wrotten a letter to the eidtor and used the work lack of backbone to those who would rather receive handouts, then work and fight for the children of this great nation, the United States of America.
Mr. James Tutak gave his honest response. However, I disagree with his opinion, as I am sure many will disagree with mine.
Mr. James Tutak, the word I should have used was courage. It takes a great deal of courage to tell another to stop giving you money and freebies because you wish to be independent, work, and earn the things ou want in life.
As to why so many citizens voted for Obama and the Democratic Party; could it be due to having become lazy and would rather sit back and collect taxpayer’s money than go search for a job that may only pay the minimum wage? After all, with welfare, food stamps and hospitalization some believe they make more than if working day in and day out, or so many believe, I fear.
The Mansfield Tea Party stands for two things to protect this nation and its citizens; the Constitution, and the freedoms that this great document has awarded us. If we relinquish these two valuable items, then the USA will become like Hitler’s Germany, Iran, Iraqi, and other countries that rule with an iron fist. Our children will grow up only to know that they must obey or else face the consequences.
I realize the above is a drastic statement, but many citizens will not vote because they believe it does not matter, no one listens and that all politicians lie. Do you not think that many citizens in the Middle East feel the same way, therby refse to fight fo their own country and lives?
The parents in the Middle East teach their children to believe those in power are not to be questioned. I fear that many of America’s children are learning this too. Years ago, I often heard the following quote, “The apple does not fall far from the tree”. What children see and hear so they will follow.
When we stop fighting for this great nation then all of us in the United States of America are doomed and free no more.
